How long does it take for my grow bag to fully colonize?

The complete colonization of a grow bag may take up to six weeks, depending on various factors such as temperature, humidity, and the specific strain of mushroom. In the event that you do not notice any growth within a few weeks, it is recommended that you inspect the substrate in the middle of the bag to check for signs of growth.

If you do not see any evidence of growth, it is possible that the spores may not have taken, or the spores you received may be nonviable. In such cases, it is advisable to contact your supplier and request a replacement syringe.

Additionally, it is important to maintain suitable environmental conditions for colonization. Cold temperatures can slow down the colonization process, so it is recommended to ensure that the ambient temperature of your grow room is within the ideal range for your chosen mushroom species.
